Celebrating Our Triumph

A Tea Tester of the Orimi Trade's Quality Control Department Vitaly Bugaev was named the best at the 4th National Tea Making Championship "Tea Masters Cup Russia". The Championship was held in Moscow on the sidelines of the main Russian and CIS tea and coffee industry function—the Russian United Coffee & Tea Industry Event (RUCTIE).
The Event was preceded by a series of preliminaries hosted by Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Simferopol, Ryazan and Samara in 2016. This year, to align the format of "Tea Masters Cup Russia" with world championship standards, a fourth category "The Art of Tea Mixology" was added to the regular "The Art of Tea Making", "The Art of Tea Blending" and "The Art of Tea Tasting" categories of the Championship.
The Tea Tester from the Orimi Trade's team Vitaly Bugaev ranked first among the participants of "The Art of Tea Tasting" category. Here, the contestants had to demonstrate their ability to accurately identify samples of teas (usually with similar organoleptic properties). The winners in other categories were Alessia Dayneko ("The Art of Tea Making"), Anna Svishcheva ("The Art of Tea Blending") and Tatyana Filimonova ("The Art of Tea Mixology"). The winners of the "Tea Masters Cup Russia" will represent our country at the World Championship "Tea Masters Cup International 2017" scheduled for June with a venue in one of the Asian countries.
