In 1994 Russian tea lovers celebrated a sort of anniversary - 315 years since the first contract for the supply of tea to the Muscovy state was concluded.

This anniversary coincided with the event that defined the development of the Russian tea market for many years to come: on October 12, 1994 «Orimi Trade» company was established. Thus began the development of the company that only a few years later was to become the undisputed leader on the Russian market of hot beverages.

Today «Orimi Trade» Group of Companies is the leader on the Russian market of hot beverages in terms of production volumes, technology and distribution. Moreover, it is Russia's largest importer of bulk tea and green coffee, one of the top five buyers of tea and green coffee in the world.

Since 1999 it has been the stable leader of the Russian tea market with the share of over 30% in volume terms (Nielsen, 2014). On the Russian coffee market «Orimi Trade» has been ranked third, giving way only to multinational corporations but remaining the leader in the segment of roasted coffee.

In terms of key financial indicators «Orimi Trade» is one of the 400 largest Russian companies rated by Expert magazine and «200 largest private companies in Russia» rated by Forbes magazine.

Tea and coffee brands of the company boast highest popularity ratings among consumers and demonstrate stable growth trends. These are tea brands Greenfield, TESS, «Princess Noori», «Princess Java», «Princess Kandy», «Princess Gita» and coffee brands «Jockey» and Jardin.
