Agrarian show in Leningrad Region

Leningrad Region Agrarian Week 2022 drew to a close in the village of Sverdlov in the Vsevolozhsky district. One of the week's main events was the 9th Russian Open Ploughing   Championship. Fifty-seven of the best farmers from all over Russia, as well as from Belarus and Kyrgyzstan, came to put their professionalism to the test of competition. It is difficult for the uninitiated to imagine just how labour-intensive, complex, and precise a process it is: just know that one single round of the competition took up to three hours! The machine operators' task was to expertly process 15 acres of land – a plot of complex shape in the form of a trapezoid. The efforts of the farmers were evaluated by a strict jury over 14 separate exercises. A representative from Leningrad Region  was declared the outright winner, second place was awarded to a participant from the Republic of Bashkortostan  , and the bronze went to a machine operator from the city of Penza .
The programme additionally included tractor racing over rough terrain, an incredibly spectacular and exciting event. Agrarian Week also featured an exhibition and test drive of agricultural machinery, a farm produce fair, wine and cheese festivals, a balloon show, and even a wheelbarrow relay race. A large Children's Village was laid on for the festival's youngest guests.
Orimi Group brought its entire range of premium brands to the fair. The Leningrad Region stand featured tea and coffee tasting, which proved very popular with visitors.
The festival ended with a fantastic concert programme.
